Playing sports helps us feel part of a team and lets us make use of our natural competitive drive. But doubt or lack of self confidence in our perception in ourselves can sometimes make us appear below average in our own mind… and feel like we're not outputting a peak performance.

Major hypnosis factors which make consistent peak performance possible are the ability to improve focus
and concentration, relieving unnecessary stress while maximizing your "edge" to perform optimally, and to practice through zone visualization (while in a Goal Image state) all of the moves needed to make your performance
it’s personal best.

During this goal imaging state one mentally reviews for example, the perfect back swing, all of the muscles needed to accomplish it move imperceptibly in the correct way. With continued mental review in the subconscious,
these same perfected movements are easily transferred to the golf course, baseball diamond, or in lifting weights in a competitive setting.

Though most professionals do not want it exposed, many athletes and even some pro teams have a mind consultant with whom they consult with on a regular bases. In some instances the consulting
hypnotist travels with them to reinforce and maintain their peak performance mind set.
Our “In the Zone Tm” Program teaches athletes to enter peak performance at will.
 
Most sport psychologists say that 80-90% of their performance is in their mind. This involves the use of their imagination, thought processes, and attitudes, to provide incentive, support, reinforcement, and refinement of special skills. It is believed that as the athlete imagines the activity occurring, his neurons fire in exactly
the same patterns they would follow if he were actually performing the activity. And as they imagine
the pictures in their mind, their subconscious mind is convinced that the desired feat is reality
and the body reacts.
